21 Adult Slumber Party Ideas that Are Way More Fun than Going Out
1. Indoor Teepee Party
You can set up indoor teepees, like these on Amazon, and place some cozy pillows outside. Place snack trays outside of the tent with the person’s or couple’s name card on it, put a lantern on top and anything else that you like.
2. Spa and Movie Night
A spa and movie night is always in order. You can put face masks out on the table for your guests along with wine, popcorn, cupcakes and other treats. Place wine on the table along with flameless candles and some flowers to complete the look.
3. Snack Bars
Food and snacks are the cornerstone of any slumber party, and this bar has a little bit of everything: drinks, gummies, donuts, blueberries, raspberries, strawberries – anything you can want.
Watermelon slices and grapes also made it onto the tray, which are additional tasty treats that are also healthy for you.
4. Welcome to Movie Night
Movie nights with your favorite people are always so much fun. You can put a flameless candle in the middle of the table, along with a card that says, “Welcome to YOUR NAME’s Movie Night,” and be sure to swap out your name to fit the saying.
You can then put your favorite movie snacks on the table, such as:
- Buttered popcorn
- Candies
- Sodas
And, of course, don’t forget to have a good lineup of movies for everyone to watch.

5. Sundae Bar
What’s a party without some ice cream? A sundae bar is one of my favorite ideas because it lets everyone be a little kid again. You’ll need vanilla and chocolate ice cream, along with cups or cones.
For the toppings, feel free to go wild:
Sprinkles, nuts, gummies, chocolate pieces, M&Ms, fudge, strawberry toppings, Hershey’s chocolate and strawberry syrup.
6. Color Themed Pajama Party
Pajama parties are always fun, and one way to make them even better is for them to be color-themed. For example, one person is wearing red, so they bring a basket filled with red goodies, such as:
- Doritios
- Kitkats
- Other candies
For blue, the person brought potato chips, Chex Mix and other snacks.
7. Don’t Get Caught in the Photo
One person puts on a blindfold and is in charge of the camera. The chosen person will stand in the middle of the room and start taking random photos. Everyone in the room will have to do their best to stay out of the photos.
For example, in this Pin, the group of people around them is jumping on the couch, rolling on the floor and trying to dodge the camera.
If someone is able to stay out of the photo, they win the game. Otherwise, you can also opt for a round 2 or just have some fun pictures for everyone to go through.
8. Princess Night
A night for princesses. This idea involves putting washcloths in a crockpot with water and heating them up for an extra-special spa experience. Be very cautious when removing the cloths from the pot to ensure that they’re not scalding hot.
You can then make bedazzled cups for guests to drink out of, along with tiaras if you plan on having a lot of girls at the party.
9. Outdoor Movie Night
Adults can still be kids, and there are few options that embrace this idea like a movie night. Everyone can wear their pajamas or something similar, and then set up a movie projector outside.
If you don’t mind splurging a little on this idea, you can include a wine bar, soda bar, popcorn machine, candy, donuts and other main entrees.
Everyone will appreciate a night out where they think that they can relax like they’re in their teens again, watching movies under the stars.
10. Wine and Paint Night
Set up small canvases around your table, pour some wine and then give everyone paint and some brushes. Add in the right music and hanging lights, and you have the perfect wine night that people will love coming to every week or month.
Just be sure to cover your table and chairs to avoid guests getting paint on them.
11. S’mores Bar
Who doesn’t like some s’mores? Set up a bar of goodies around the campfire, or a fire pit if you have one, and let people make their own goodies. You’ll set platters of the following out on the table:
- Graham crackers and any other crackers of your liking
- White and dark chocolate that fits between the sandwiches
- Marshmallows, honey or other toppings that you like
Use skewers for the marshmallows if you like, or you can buy dedicated sandwich makers.
12. Cocoa and Cozies
Fall or winter parties are made better with cocoa and cozies. You want the entire experience to feel relaxing and include things such as:
- Hot cocoa
- Marshallows
- Cinnamon sticks
- Peppermint
And you can also add in go-to snacks, such as chocolate chip cookies or candy canes, if it’s the right time of year. For the cozies, guests can bring their own, but here’s a cute one with a wearable blanket hoodie that works well.
13. Spill the Tea
Sometimes, a good session of “spill the tea” is all that’s needed for a party. Friends gather to spend time together and have a good chat while drinking mocktails and tea and others are eating fruit and finger sandwiches.
Decorate the space to your liking, but a few good options are flameless candles or faux flowers hanging from the ceiling.

14. Bring a Snack
You’re having friends come to the party anyway, so why not ask them to bring their favorite snacks? Everyone can pitch in and bring the goodies that they like, and it makes it a fun experience.
But be intentional with what you ask others to bring.
Perhaps you plan on asking everyone to bring desserts, or if you like, one person can bring appetizers or another baked goods.
If you don’t mind having a hodgepodge of goodies at your disposal, you can just let people bring whatever they like and just go with it.
15. Glass Painting
Whether you use wine glasses or any other glass that isn’t already decorated or painted in some way, it’s up to you. For this idea, you’ll need a proper paint set that works on glass – like this one – and then allow your guests to paint on it.
You can have guests paint flowers, monsters, cartoons or anything they wish.
Remember, this is not a competition but a fun activity that everyone can enjoy.
16. Blindfold Snack Game
Start by blindfolding your guests and making sure that they don’t have any food allergies. You’ll want to make a mix of five mystery snacks for this game, which you’ll feed to guests and then see who gets the most guesses right.
What the author of this Pin recommends is:
- Sour Patch Kids
- Pickles
- Takis
- Pretzels
- One random or weird snack
And if you would rather ditch all of these ideas and choose your own, it’s completely up to you to do so.
17. Foot Bath
Who doesn’t like a foot bath during a slumber party? You can find foot baths, like these on Amazon, that are portable and work very well on these occasions. What you choose to add to the water of the bath is up to you.
Based on the Pin, they used what looks like rose petals.
If you want to give your guests some options, provide an array of essential oils that they can add to the water. Don’t forget some hot towels and other items, such as slippers.
18. Goodies for the Girls
I call this “goodies for the girls,” but it’s really something that works for everyone. You can add any snacks that you like for your party, but a few good ones are strawberries, donuts, pretzel crisps, chocolate-covered anything, popcorn – anything you like.
If it’s during the summer when fresh fruits are refreshing, watermelon, cantaloupe and other fruits will do the trick.
Don’t forget to send your guests home with some goodies, such as slippers, face masks or something else to remember your big day.
19. Spa Night in
Spa nights are often reserved for girls, but they work for any type of slumber party. You can opt to have one of these nights for adults of all ages, just add in your own ideas to the checklist below:
- Face masks
- Cozy socks
- Eye masks
- Nail polishes
Of course, since it’s a slumber party, you’ll also want to bring drinks along, such as cocktails, wine or other sparkling drinks.

- Potato chips
- Gummy bears
- Chex Mix
21. Paint a Pot
Amazon sells supplies that make slumber parties even more fun. You can purchase this 12-piece ceramic mini succulent pot set that has drainage holes and bamboo trays to hold them.
And then you’ll need some ceramic paint supplies and a little bit of creativity to put everything together.
Work in groups and make the event one that everyone participates in to choose the winner. You can also opt for full-size flower pots if you need a larger canvas than these succulent pots.
