Are you hosting guests for the big game, but don’t want to serve the usual greasy, fried foods? I have 17+ delicious, healthy Super Bowl recipes that everyone will love. From tasty dips to fruit trays and loaded smashed potatoes, you’ll find something for every taste on this list.
17+ Healthy Super Bowl Recipes on a Budget
1. Buffalo Cauliflower Wings
Ditch the usual chicken buffalo wings and serve this vegetarian-friendly alternative. They’re low-carb, low-fat and super tasty.
But here’s the best part – they’re easy to make.
Just toss some cauliflower florets in a buttermilk batter (buttermilk, flour and spices) and bake in the oven for about 40 minutes. Then, toss with a mixture of buffalo sauce (like Frank’s) and melted butter.
We serve these with blue cheese dressing, but you can use ranch or whatever dipping sauce you prefer.
2. Mini Chicken Quesadillas
These mini quesadillas are satisfying, on the healthy side and taste absolutely delicious. It’s the perfect recipe for using leftover rotisserie chicken, too.
Just toss your chicken with salsa, cheese, cilantro and some spices. Spread some refried beans on half a tortilla, top with the chicken mix, and fold over to seal.
To seal your quesadillas, you’ll cook them in a skillet (about 1-2 minutes per side).
If you’re serving a big crowd, it may be easier to bake them (flipping them after a few minutes), or use a griddle to cook more than a few at a time.
3. Healthy Loaded Smashed Potatoes
One of my favorite healthy Super Bowl recipes. Who doesn’t love potatoes? This recipe just bakes whole small potatoes until soft, smashes them, and tops them with a tasty mix of: avocado, black beans and pico di gallo.
You can use whatever type of potato you want for this, but just make sure they’re smaller than russet-sized potatoes.
Pro Tip: Use the lid of a jar to safely and evenly smash your potatoes.
4. Avocado Feta Dip
You can’t have a Super Bowl party without dip. This recipe is a healthier alternative and it’s SO delicious. Everyone will be asking you for the recipe.
It blends crumbled feta cheese with diced avocado, tomato, red onion, garlic, parsley, cilantro, olive oil and vinegar.
Gently mix the ingredients together and let your dip chill in the fridge before serving. We like to serve this with pita chips or crackers.

5. Cottage Cheese Queso Dip
A high-protein dip that everyone will drool over. Start by blending cottage cheese with taco seasoning in a blender, food processor or with an immersion blender.
Then, pour the mixture into a microwave-safe bowl. Add 1 cup of cheddar cheese and heat on low until the cheese is fully melted.
Once your dip is ready, you can even stir in extras like jalapenos or green chilis. Top with some cilantro and green onion before serving.
You can serve this with raw veggies or tortilla chips.
6. Everything Bagel Stuffed Mini Peppers
This tasty appetizer is the perfect healthy addition to your Super Bowl spread. And it’s probably one of the easiest dishes you’ll ever make.
Mix plain Greek yogurt with cream cheese. Slice mini bell peppers in half and remove the seeds. Fill each half with the cream cheese mixture and top with everything bagel seasoning.
You can even make these a day in advance if you want.
7. Healthier Cheeseball
This appetizer is so fun, and it’s deceptively healthy, too. The cheeseball is made with cream cheese, cheddar cheese, green onions and very finely chopped broccoli.
You’ll blend everything together and place it onto plastic wrap. You can even shape the ball into a football if you want. Once the cheese has set, add some crushed pecans into a bowl and roll your cheese football in them to coat it.
To make the cheeseball look like a football, slice some string cheese to make the strings on top.
Add carrot slices, cucumber slices, pretzels and whatever other healthy things you want to dip with.
8. Sushi Cups
Here’s something you don’t normally find on a list of healthy Super Bowl recipes. It’s a vegetarian-friendly dish and easier than you think to make.
Cooked rice is baked in a muffin tin to make little cups that are filled with whatever veggie blend you want, steamed mukimame, diced avocado and soy sauce.
There’s even a recipe for a tasty spicy mayo that brings all of the flavors together.
9. High Protein Crack Dip
Forget the sour cream. Use Greek yogurt for a tangy base and added protein. This dip is so crazy easy to make that you’ll wonder why you hadn’t tried it sooner.
Just blend plain Greek yogurt with ranch seasoning, cheddar cheese, crumbled bacon (or turkey bacon) and chopped green onion.
We serve this with regular potato chips, but you could also do raw veggies, pita chips or whatever you want.
10. Healthy Bell Pepper Nachos
Serve some healthier nachos at your party. Trust me – your guests won’t even miss the tortilla chips.
You can make this with or without the taco meat. For parties, we skip the meat because it’s too messy.
The concept is simple, you’ll halve or quarter peppers (depending on whether you’re using bell or minis), and top with cheese, sliced jalapenos and whatever other toppings you want. Bake until hot and bubbly, and then, top with black olives, green onion and more shredded cheese.

11. Ritz Cracker Party Sandwiches
These little tasty treats are bite-sized and so delicious. The filling is a mix of cream cheese, cheddar cheese and green onions. We sometimes add diced red pepper to the mix.
Spread the mixture between two Ritz crackers, and voila! You have a simple appetizer that’s so yummy and healthier than other Super Bowl recipes.
12. Deviled Strawberries
A tasty and fun recipe that your guests won’t be expecting. Strawberries “stuffed” with a tasty mix of cream cheese, heavy cream, sugar, sour cream, vanilla extract and lemon juice.
Scoop out a small section of each strawberry half, add the filling and top with crumbled graham crackers.
13. Keto Salami Roll-Ups
I love healthy Super Bowl recipes like this one because people don’t even realize that it’s healthy.
These little roll-ups are stuffed with a mix of cream cheese, diced dill pickles, green onions and seasoning.
Just add the filling to a slice of salami, roll it up and slice into bite-sized pieces. Repeat with the rest of your slices. I like to chill these before serving to make sure they’re set.
14. Zesty Italian Pinwheels
Simple yet tasty and healthy. These pinwheels are stuffed with cream cheese, red pepper, banana peppers, spices, salami and cheese.
Mix your filling ingredients together, and add them to a tortilla. Roll up the tortilla, and repeat with the rest of your tortillas. Refrigerate for about an hour, slice and serve.
15. Crispy Zucchini Chips
Skip the regular chips and serve zucchini chips instead. Slice up a few zucchinis (use a mandoline slicer for more even slices), and toss with olive oil, salt and your favorite spices.
Lay each slice out on a baking sheet and top with parmesan cheese. Bake and serve with your favorite dip.
16. Skinny Taco Dip
Ten minutes is all it takes to make this Super Bowl dip, which guests always seem to adore. You’ll need a baking dish to spread your refried beans on. Add a ranch dressing and sour cream mix and then top with cheese, lettuce, avocado, onions, tomatoes and lettuce.
Cover and refrigerate for up to six hours before serving.
17. Crescent Roll Veggie Bars
Forty minutes is all it takes for these veggie bars, which are delicious. You’ll need refrigerated crescent rolls, cream cheese, mayonnaise, Original Ranch dressing mix, broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, chopped tomatoes and scallions.
Start by unrolling your crescent rolls on a baking sheet, creating a single layer that covers the entirety of the sheet.
Bake for 10 minutes or so. In the meantime, you’ll make your spread by combining the following in a bowl: cream cheese, mayo and Ranch mix. Blend until smooth and then spread on your rolls until you have an even layer.
Add your remaining ingredients evenly on top before refrigerating overnight.
18. Ultimate Food Tray
For this “recipe,” you’ll need a giant tray (like this one). You can then fill it with whatever fruits you like best. What the author of this Pin adds to her tray is:
- Red and green grapes
- Orange slices
- Strawberries
- Kiwi
- Pineapple
- Raspberries
She also adds a bowl filled with whipped cream, which is a sweet addition that your guests will appreciate.
19. Veggie and Dip Platter
Veggies and dip are easy, healthy Super Bowl recipes that everyone will love. You can choose any dip recipe (or premade dip from the store) and then mix in your desired veggies:
- Cucumbers
- Tomatoes
- Carrots
- Celery sticks
- Pepper slices
20. Salt & Vinegar Cucumber Chips
Do you like salt and vinegar chips? If so, this recipe adds a healthier twist by making them out of cucumbers. Simple and easy to make, all you need to do is:
- Slice your cucumbers using a mandoline slicer
- Press firmly on the slices with a paper towel to remove moisture
- Add your cucumbers into a large bowl with salt, oil and vinegar
- Line a baking tray with parchment paper and dry for 3-4 hours in the oven
- Allow to cool before serving
If you prefer to use a dehydrator, you can, but it will take significantly longer.
