Preheat oven to 375C. Neatly arrange 12 muffin cups with paper liners. Set pan aside.
Get two bowls, in the large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
In the medium bowl, mix together the melted butter, eggs, buttermilk, and vanilla extract until well blended.
Make a well in the center of the dry ingredient and then pour the liquid mixture into the well and gently stir until combined.
Now stir in the chocolate chips.
Scoop the batter into the muffin cups. And then place in the oven to bake for 17-20 minutes or until puffy and skewer inserted in the center of the muffin comes out clean.
Remove muffins from the oven and leave to cool and serve.
